A private-equity backed B2C manufacturing and trading company focused on the production and sale of electric bicycles faced significant supply chain disruptions due to the COVID pandemic. Orders were not coming in and, as a result, they could not sell ordered bicycles. Later, these bicycles still arrived in large numbers, causing the company to run into liquidity problems and have to restructure.
