Merinos Foundation reorganisation

The question

The Merinos Foundation, which is active in the Nursing, Care and Homecare (VVT) sector, was faced with a major setback in its home care business. The foundation asked us to map out future scenarios and calculate their financial impact.

Our approach

Our advice guided the Board in:

• Disposal of a loss-making organisational unit.
• Selling part of the property portfolio to an investor.

The result

The foundation has emerged from the loss situation and liquidity has been released. This secured the future of the remaining organisational units. At the end of this process, we effected refinancing.
